The play is being performed to the hilt, and then some, by a first-rate ensemble working under the keen, razor-sharp, go-for-broke direction of actress Tod Randolph in her directorial debut. Looking at this production, it seems as though Randolph's been at it for years. There's not a trick in Shanley's book or her own knowledge of stagecraft that Randolph misses.
